The UK political party that voters would feel most proud to vote for

Voters would feel the most proud telling friends and family they will be voting Labour on May 7, but would be the most embarrassed to reveal they will be voting Ukip, a new YouGov poll has found.

Data from the poll also found that younger voters would be proudest to say they were going to vote Green.

Interestingly, one in 20 Ukip supporters said they'd be embarrassed to admit they were going to vote Ukip, while no Lib Dem supporters said they'd be embarrassed to vote Lib Dem.

Here's what we learned:

People would be most embarrassed to admit they were going to vote Ukip

But proudest to say they were going to vote Labour

Younger voters would be most embarrassed to admit they were going to vote Ukip and Liberal Democrat

Young voters would be proudest to say they were going to vote Green

Five per cent of Ukip supporters who intend to vote Ukip would be embarrassed to tell their friends and family, compared with zero per cent of Lib Dems

And this says a lot about the Green Party's electoral appeal

YouGov interviewed 1,713 people between April 16 and 17
