Theresa May has been interviewed by the US edition of Vogue magazine, and one of her answers in particular is causing a bit of a stir.

Here’s the passage in question:

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

I think I’d want to make sure that everyone in the world had access to clean water, and sufficient food, so that we didn’t see people starving.

Thing is – she is the head of state of one of the largest economies in the world. That means she actually has the power to help stop people from starving, both in the UK and abroad.

People were quick to point out the irony.

Maybe next time, just answer "flight"?
