Cardiff is the wettest city in Britain. Yes, it's even rainier than Manchester

When it comes to rain and British cities, many people probably think of Manchester. But research has shown that it's not actually that wet in the north-west.

Instead, it is Cardiff that's the wettest city in the UK, 'enjoying' 115.19cm of rain each year, as this chart from Statista shows.

Luckily for residents of the Welsh capital, however, their heavy rain is condensed into just 148.6 days - a meagre total when compared to the 170.3 that drizzled Glaswegians who have to put up with.
