Things got weird at the Oscars with Dakota Johnson and her mother

It might not be a typical question for a mother and daughter, but women everywhere will recognise the attitude during this red carpet exchange between Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson and her parent, actress Melanie Griffith.

After being asked by a reporter if she will see Fifty Shades, Griffith demurs despite her daughter saying she would be fine with her watching the film.

Eventually Dakota snaps at her mother saying "All right, you don't have to see it... I'm like 'you can see it' and you're just like 'no'."

A contrite Griffith replied: "If she tells me to see it, I'll see it."
