This 3D painting will make your brain melt

It almost seems to defy logic. Whichever way the camera pans over this painting, the objects in it appear to move the other way.

Shot at the "Art Miami" show in New York, the video shows the work of British artist Patrick Hughes who specialises in these "reverse perspective" or "reverspective" works.

As his website explains: "When the principles of perspective are reversed and solidified into sculpted paintings something extraordinary happens; the mind is deceived into believing the impossible, that a static painting can move of its own accord."
