People in Britain reach the age of 'job contentment' at 32

On average British people start to feel happy with their job at the age of 32 and usually reach this stage of contentment earlier than they get married.

A new survey by Reed.co.uk has found that on average it takes three job moves to feel fulfilled at work and that most people rate a good work/life balance above salary when it comes to career satisfaction.

The survey found that the following 10 factors were most important for contentment at work:

1. Easy daily commute

2. Cool / fun work space

3. Good work / life balance

4. Salary

5. Job security

6. Work social events

7. Working alongside inspiring colleagues

8. Good promotion prospects

9. Extra holiday

10. Dress down Friday
