This is what Gaza looks like 28 days after Operation Protective Edge

As a 72-hour truce gets underway, images have revealed the extent of destruction caused by the Israeli bombardment in Gaza.

According to Unicef, 1,814 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since 8 July.

Of those, 1,312 (or 72 per cent), were said to be civilians.

Overall 408 children were killed, which is 31 per cent of the civilian casualties.

The IDF reportedly disputes those numbers, with a source telling the Times of Israel it believes 900 operatives from Hamas have been killed in the 28 days since the army began Operation Protective Edge.
