This reporter briefly fell in love with her interviewee and then chased him down the road

That’s exactly what happened to KTLA newscaster Wendy Burch, when she interviewed an Australian runner about sharks, at California’s Dana Point beach:

Decided she didn't need it, and proceeded to chase after him

Someone off-camera asked Burch why she let him go, and her response was basically YOLO.
