A hippo love story is unfolding and it's adorable

There's a hippo love story unfolding on Twitter.

It all began when Timothy, a hippo from San Antonio Zoo, tweeted Fiona, a young hippo who’s become quite a star in the last few months.

Timothy asked Fiona out, you see:

My name is Timothy.

I have seen you on the internet at the @CincinnatiZoo & you are the most beautiful hippo I have ever seen!

Perhaps we can meet someday and be boyfriend and girlfriend?

I am single and available.

That...is so cute...

People lost their mind on twitter, and really can you blame them?

If Timothy wasn't already adorable enough, Fiona, who stays at Cincinnati Zoo, actually responded!

Fiona thinks you’re cute too, but it’s what’s on the inside that counts!

Your DNA will decide if you’re the one for our little diva.

Any potential mate would have to be ok with [sic] taking a back seat.

Are you ok with paparazzi? Most importantly, are you willing to relocate? 

They've already become #goals.

But Fiona's supporters are a protective bunch...

Fiona is still a young hippo, a few years from being an adult. Still, young hippo love is adorable.

It's too beautiful.
