Over the last four years, lots of Americans have probably wished Donald Trump would just go away.
But now the president himself has hinted that, not so long from now, this could be a reality.
Speaking at a rally in Georgia, Trump said he might leave the US if he loses the White House to Joe Biden.
Trump was talking about the prospect of Biden winning the upcoming election. He told the crowd that Biden was the “worst candidate in the history of presidential elections” and that he couldn’t face the prospect of losing to him.
He said:
Can you imagine if I lose, my whole life, what am I going to do? I am going to say I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics?
I am not going to feel so good, maybe I will have to leave the country, I don’t know.
There’s no denying that Trump has many supporters in the US and across the world.
But there’s also a lot of Americans who are treating Trump’s suggestion that he’d leave the country as less of a threat and more of a bonus…

People also speculated where Trump might settle if he left...
I suggest a country that does not have an extradition treaty with the United States...like North Korea. https://t.co/5hEgipd0yO— Ana Navarro-Cárdenas (@Ana Navarro-Cárdenas) 1602938527

With just over two weeks to go, there's still everything to play for in the upcoming election. And with Trump putting his residency on the table, the stakes just got even higher.
