Donald Trump, a man seemingly incapable of going an hour without a mistake of some description, misspoke while discussing the impeachment inquiry and told Fox News, “I do want corruption.”
On Fox and Friends, usually a safe space for the President, Trump was discussing testimony given by Gordon Sondland, the US ambassador to the European Union.
Over the phone to the hosts, Trump can clearly be heard to say:
I do want, always, corruption. That’s what I say to anybody.
The Freudian slip to end all Freudian slips was not acknowledged by the hosts of the show but the people of Twitter were keen to point out the error.
