Trump laughs after supporter suggests migrants crossing Mexico border should be ‘shot’

During one of his predictably long, controversial and unhinged campaign rally speeches Donald Trump laughed after one of his supporters suggested that immigrants to the US should be shot.

Trump was speaking to supporters in Panama City, Florida where he began ranting about a recent increase of asylum-seeking migrants coming across the Mexico border and into the United States.

The president complained about migrants being allowed to see judges in order to plead their case in a trail and the lack of security at the border who have to deal with '15,000 people marching up.'

Trump then began to moan about the fact that the US is not allowed to use weapons at the border to prevent migrants from entering the country. He said:

Don’t forget, we don’t let them and we can’t let them use weapons.

We can’t. Other countries do. We can’t. I would never do that.

He then asks how he thinks that the migrants should be stopped, which prompts a person in the crowd to yell "shoot them." This response raises a roar of laughter from the audience and a smile and a chuckle from Trump.

Trump allows the crowd to briefly appreciate the laughter before telling them:

That’s only in the panhandle you can get away with that, folks. Only in the panhandle!

Yep, not only did the president laugh at the suggestion of shooting immigrants, he also appears to suggest that this kind of comment is perfectly fine. Just as long as you're in the panhandle. Only in the panhandle.

Trump's lackadaisical response to the audience member's controversial remark, which comes just days after another school shooting in America, has been admonished on Twitter.
