Trump put chocolate on a Minion's head and we're as lost as you are

President Trump is going viral once again, this time over a strange interaction between himself and a child dressed as a Minion from Despicable Me.

On Monday, the president and the first lady participated in the annual Halloween tradition of handing out candy at the White House to trick-or-treaters dressed in costumes.

However, one interaction captured in the nearly 40-minute video and shared by the White House on YouTube has people baffled.

The moment occurred when a child dressed in an inflatable Minion costume approached the world leader hoping to get a bar of chocolate (around 25.02).

But rather than place the candy into the child’s waiting Halloween bucket, President Trump tapped it on the Minion’s head - before leaving it there.

For reasons unknown, the first lady then followed suit - laughing as she too placed the candy on the child’s head.

As the seemingly confused Minion walks away, the chocolate bars slip from the top of the costume - nearly into the outstretched bag of a waiting child dressed as a unicorn.

Fortunately, the Minion’s mum comes to the rescue, fetching the bars and placing them into the child’s bag.

Even then, the child appears to pause and consider whether he will be receiving his candy the normal way or not. He turns once again towards the president, hopeful, before he is steered away.

On Twitter, where the video was shared, it has been viewed more than 470,000 times and prompted an array of reactions, ranging from calls for impeachment to genuine shock.

“I have so many questions, but I don’t even know where to begin,” one person wrote.

Another said: “Imagine being bad at Halloween.”
