In true Tucker Carlson style, the right-wing pundit has now gone on a rant during his Fox News show 'Tucker Carlson Tonight' in which he questions why we now have feminists in science. Yes, really.
During the segment, Carlson first played a video - full of scary music and effects - that showed Democratic politicians warning about the dangers of climate change, before highlighting a recent study asking whether 'toxic masculinity' is the driver behind climate change.
He continued that the study argued:
When men’s gender identity was threatened, they tried to reassert their masculinity through environmentally damaging choices.
The report added that:
...unconscious bias is revealed, it has the potential to help society shift our increasingly precarious relationship with the environment for the better.
Carlson then summarised:
If we want to save the environment we have to suppress men.
Carlson then turned to conservative author Mark Steyn, and said:
How did we wind up with a country in which feminists do science?
OK, right, nice one, Carlson. Just dropping in a bit of really not-so-casual sexism there for one and all to see.
Deputy director of Media Matters in America, Andrew Lawrence, noticed the clip and shared it on Twitter:

He then added:

Others wondered how we'd ended up in a country where 'science' is ignored.
One was slightly more rude about the whole thing.

This isn't the first time Carlson has taken on the dreaded feminists of late. Earlier this week, the conservative said that 'Chris Hayes is what every man would be' if feminists had absolute power.
Speaking on his show, he said:
Chris Hayes is what every man would be if feminists ever achieved absolute power in this country: apologetic, bespectacled, and deeply, deeply concerned about global warming and the patriarchal systems that cause it.
