The dating capital of the UK has been revealed

If you find yourself endlessly swiping left and right on dating apps but making little progress, new data has revealed the places in the UK with the highest concentration of daters.

According to UK Match, a Berkshire town is home to the highest proportion of daters out of anywhere the UK.

Ascot, known around the world for its horse racing, has five times as many daters than the UK average. In second place is Truro, in Cornwall, while Cheshire’s Ellesmere Port Town completes the top three.

While most would expect large cities like London or Manchester to be the best place to search for partner, the list of the top dating destinations is dominated by smaller, more rural areas.

Within London, singles hunting for a date should head to the outer boroughs. Orpington boasts the highest concentration of active singles in the capital, almost double the city’s average. Sidcup, in South East London, and West London’s Isleworth take second and third place respectively.

This research reveals some of the UK’s rather unexpected dating hotspots. Keen daters might like to take note of where these are and perhaps consider a staycation rather than going abroad when planning a trip.
