What’s the most dangerous animal on the planet? A lot of people jump to the big, scary ones which fill nightmares, like sharks or bears.

While those animals can admittedly seem scary, researchers have had a look at what statistically causes the most deaths, globally.

According to the people at GOOD, it’s mosquitoes we should be most scared of.

A video on their Youtube channel has broken down the animals statistically most likely to kill you across the world.

In the UK, malaria has killed on average 11 people a year over the last ten years. In contrast, between 2011/12 and 2013/14 there were an average of 534 homicides a year in England and Wales.
