Courtney Daniella is a YouTube star and beauty blogger who also attends one of the most prestigious universities in the UK.

The Human, Social and Political Sciences student started university in 2015 and has just completed her second year at Cambridge University.

Figures from Cambridge reveal that only 39.94 per cent of applications to the faculty were successful in 2015/16 educational year.

Further stats show that general acceptance rates for black students of a British African or British Caribbean background in 2015/16 were 19 per cent and 32 per cent respectively.

Whilst this might point at a diversity problem at the University it hasn't prevented Courtney from enjoying university life and progressing in her chosen field.

She has been documenting her experiences at Cambridge so far on YouTube but unfortunately this is where incidences of racism have emerged.

Recently the 20-year-old took to Twitter to share some of the abuse that she has received online.

Her revealing thread has since gone viral, receiving tonnes of support from other Twitter users.

According to theHigher Education Statistics Agency, 239,615 Black students were accepted in British Universities in the last two educational years.

Figures for 2016/17 are yet to be released.
