It's quicker to use the Royal Mail than email on the Isle of Skye

Businesses on Skye have opted for "snail mail" rather than the internet, infuriated by slow broadband speeds.

The north-west of the island lost its network at the end of last year, and has suffered reduced speeds since.

Russell Sherwood, who runs a photography business, told the BBC he has resorted to loading files onto disks and mailing them to clients.

It takes a couple of days but is faster than trying to do it by broadband.

BT said the fault was now fixed.
