From unique rice that could feed millions to glasses that give sight to the blind, modern technology brought us some undoubtedly wonderful things in 2017.

So, you're probably excited to hear what technology might bring us this year? Bionic penises, apparently. These will be attached to sex robots - or love dolls, as a company Instagram page puts it.

Matt McMullen, the founder of Realbotix, brought us a female sex robot last year called Harmony. This is an artificial intelligence app that syncs with a robotic head system, making it a programmable lover that can chat with you, learn about you and even seduce you.

Now, the company is gearing up to releasing male sex robots.

They currently stock only female versions of Harmony costing around £11,000, but McCullen says the company is gearing up to releasing male sex robots, which will come in all shapes and sizes and include bionic penises.

McMullen told the Daily Star Online:

There’s rebuilding that needs to happen on both fronts to create a male platform.

We’re working hard on that and that’s one of the next big things we’re looking to get up and running.

And they could even be seen as handsome if a creepy and vacant stare is your thing.
