This is the best time of day to use online dating apps

Owing to our increasingly busy lives, or perhaps unbridled fear of having to speak to someone face-to-face, an estimated 5.7m Britons use online dating services.

In order to improve your chances of finding that perfect match, as well as finding your best photos, is to log-in to Tinder, Happn or OkCupid at peak times.

According to data compiled by Nielsen, the time when most people are using dating apps is around 9pm:

To analyse the data, Nielsen used two dating apps - OkCupid and Tinder - which were launched eight years apart.

The above chart shows the "Share of Unique Audience" - which is the percentage of all unique users in the month they analysed who used the app at least once during that hour.
