Ukip buys Yo messaging app, plans to rebrand it as 'No'

Ukip has bought the technology behind the messaging app Yo, which it plans to rename 'No' to promote the party's anti-European message.

The Israeli app created in eight hours last April by Moshe Hogeg and Or Arbel acquired $2.5 million in funding by July. Now Ukip plans to modify it to allow users to send out specific 'No' messages during the general election campaign.

While nothing has been formally developed yet, the party has sent out some mock ups which you can see below.

Did we fool you? As much as we would like it to be true, this was just an hilarious April Fools' Day joke. Sorry to everyone involved.
