Donald Trump reacted to A$AP Rocky’s prison release with a pun and people can’t handle it

A$AP Rocky, the critically acclaimed rapper arrested in Sweden for assault last month, has now been released from prison.

For whatever reason (almost certainly because Rocky is part of the A-list), Donald Trump has been devoted to clearing the rapper’s name, partly at the behest of the First Lady and Kanye West.

The President has now got what he wanted but his response to the release has surprised everyone. Like some kind of own brand Tim Vine, he’s decided to celebrate with a pun.

A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden. It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!

If he carries on like this, Trump might have a future on I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, a role he’d undoubtedly be better suited to than his current position.

Some remained unimpressed.

Others were cynical about the whole exercise.

The “humour” wasn’t appreciated by everyone.

Some chose to hoist the President by his own petard.
