A decade ago, one of the biggest shows about weight loss was one hosted by the woman who played Aunt Hilda on Sabrina the Teenager Witch.

Weight loss shows existed before, think Celebrity Fit Club which featured former MP Anne Widdecombe, but this one did best for the pun title.

In this scary time, The Biggest Loser was pulling in millions of viewers each week, and had multiple spin offs around the world.

The Australia version, The Bigger Loser Australia began in 2006.

The winner of the show in its third series was Sam Rouen, who won when he was just 19-years-old.

He started the programme weighing 154.6 kg and by the end of his time on the show, Rouen lost 71.7 kg.

On Sunday, now aged 29, shared this transformation photo on Facebook.

Since his victory has gone onto even better things, and Rouen became a fire fighter.

Rouen has even been photographed for the New South Wales Firefighters calendar.

On his Facebook page, he still shares photos of what he used to look like before the weight loss.

Speaking in 2015, Rouen told Daily Telegraph Australia that he still feels self conscious with his shirt off.

I still don’t like taking my shirt off — even at the beach.

I’m still extremely self-conscious… I just tried to keep in mind that it was for a good cause.
