Video shows a side by side comparison of the opening and closing scenes of 55 famous films

A video editor has put together a five minute clip showing the opening and closing scenes of 55 famous films from cinema.

Jacob T Swinney, who has placed the frames next to each other, notes that while some are "strikingly similar" and others "vastly different" most serve to communicate important themes from the films.

"Some show progress, some show decline, and some are simply impactful images used to begin and end a film," he adds.
