Logan Paul: Radio 1 pulls interview with controversial YouTuber because it wasn't 'good enough'

BBC Radio 1 has decided to pull an interview they were due to broadcast with the controversial YouTube star Logan Paul.

Earlier this year the 23-year-old Internet celebrity was disgraced after he shared a video of him laughing at a suicide victim in Japan.

An interview with Logan Paul and fellow YouTube star KSI was due to be aired on Charlie Sloth's show on Thursday evening but was cancelled before the broadcast.

The two were appearing on the show to promote a boxing match they are having against each other in Manchester in August.

After a preview of the interview was shared on Twitter, the BBC was criticised for giving him a platform and they eventually confirmed that the interview wasn't 'good enough' to air.

Speaking on his show on Thursday, Slot commented on the issue.

We've listened back to the interview we did with Logan and even though it was only part of a wider piece, we don't feel it's right.

So we've decided we are not going to run it.

Radio 1 was praised for their decision on Twitter.

Back in January, Sloth had labelled Paul his 'Wally of the Week' after the suicide video incident. At the time the presenter said:

Millions and millions of people around the world look up to Logan Paul, including loads of youngsters.

My children are some of those youngsters - they look up to Logan Paul like a superstar.

Fam, let's face it, you are an absolute wally.
