Because apparently nothing else matters, all anyone wants to talk about today is how Leonardo DiCaprio finally won an Oscar, a mere 24 years after he was first nominated.
Apparently these people in Mexico even took to the streets to celebrate.

If you somehow haven't come across it, the Leo Oscars meme has been a staple of a healthy internet diet for years now.
Leo's shiny gold statuette thirst has been well-documented.
As memes go, it's a bonefide classic.
You get the picture.
And people are clearly going to miss being able to riff off the ol' favourite.
There's already a Tumblr dedicated to the Leo meme in memoriam.
In fact, it all got a bit meta last night.
