The pay gap between genders has been noted in the film and TV industry, with the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron speaking out about pay disparity with their male co-stars.
But producers of one of the biggest sitcoms on TV actually seem to be doing something about it.
The Big Bang Theory, as you are probably aware, is one of the most successful shows of recent years, running for ten seasons.

It’s also on E4 all the damn time.
It was recently reported that the four male leads - Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayaar – and female lead Kaley Cuoco are getting $1 million per episode.
But now it appears that they have agreed to take $100,000 cuts in order to bump up the salaries of their two co-stars Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch.
Bialik and Rauch play Sheldon’s girlfriend Amy and Howard’s wife Bernadette respectively.
They both joined the show during season three, and are now regular cast members.
They both potentially could receive $450,000 an episode.
