Stephen Fry and Elliot Spencer just got married

Stephen Fry has married his partner Elliot Spencer , less than two weeks after their engagement was publicly confirmed.

The actor, 57, tweeted that he had married his 27-year-old stand-up comic boyfriend today, writing:

Hugh Laurie, Fry's friend and comedic partner who refers to him as m'col, was one of the first to tweet his congratulations.

The pair's engagement only became public on 6 January, after a report in the Daily Mail. At the time Fry took to Twitter to confirm the news, writing: "Oh. It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I'm very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!"
