If you've opened up a newspaper in the past decade, you'll no doubt be aware that there are some weird baby names out there at the moment.
For every Tom, Dick and Harry there seem to be a dozen Bears, Apples and Blues.
It's no surprise then, that some names are in decline.
While Emmas, Olivias and Liams are dominating the registries, others are seriously suffering - and according to BabyCentre, there are 24 names that haven’t been registered by their 45 million users so far this year.
Girls names about to go extinct:
Cilla
Bertha
Cynthia
Janice
Anita
Marcia
Mildred
Dorothy
Edna
Bonnie
Cindy(Sindy)
Donna
Gail
Karen
Boys names about to go extinct:
Ian(Iain)
Frank
Clarence
Ricky
Edmund
Gus
Roger
Bertram
Clive
Roald
The upside to this is that if you do decide to name your baby daughter Cilla, they'll probably be the only Cilla in the room! And when you're looking at baby names, surely rarity is a good thing?
