Earlier this week queen of the 'alternative fact' Kellyanne Conway suggested that Obama could have spied on Donald Trump through a microwave.
No, I'm not making it up. The suggestion was genuinely thrown out there.
When she was asked during an interview with USA today about Mr Trump's claims that that the Obama administration allegedly wiretapped Trump Tower, Conway replied:
What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other.
You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets — any number of different ways.
She went on to add that surveillance can be implemented with “microwaves that turn into cameras,” and commented:
We know this is a fact of modern life.
It goes without saying that the internet mocked Conway pretty hard after that interview, but it's a post on Pete Souza's Instagram that has beaten every other witty tweet out there.
As the former chief photographer for the administration, Souza has an entire library of shots of Mr Obama, including one where he's taking a picture with a professional camera.
Writing in the Instagram caption, Souza said:
Someone has been photoshopping one of my photos. For the record, it wasn't me.
Thank you anonymous Photoshoper. Thank you.
