Halloween is a time to dress up as the spookiest things imaginable, and for many British parents and kids, that’s apparently our own prime minister.
Research carried out by Beano (!) found that over two-thirds of British parents and children (66%) believed Boris Johnson to be the ghastliest figure of the 21st century.
Calling him the “Brexit bogeyman”, Beano gave kids some costume options for how to bring the nightmare to life.
The three ideas were: Bullingdon Boris, Zipwire Boris, and Bike Boris. Shame they didn't pick Rugby Boris.
The study also found that more than half of families are drawing inspiration from Brexit generally for their Halloween costumes this year – which makes sense, considering the alleged date of Brexit itself.
Of course, kids will still be kids – while Johnson was the 10th most popular costume, the list is still topped by Pennywise the Clown and Spider-Man.
