A sheriff arrived at a 999 call and was confronted with this. Here's what happened next

It took a sheriff’s deputy, multiple construction workers and some friendly neighbours – but a cat trapped in a very compromising position was successfully freed.

The poor cat, whose name is Bella, was caught at the top of a garage as it closed, and workers had to remove some moulding from the house in order to free her.

Somehow, miraculously, she survived completely unscathed.

Mike Scott, the deputy sheriff for Louisianna who was called to the scene, wrote on Facebook:

Never in all of my years was I prepared to encounter what I saw upon my arrival.

The neighbours were very helpful as we cautiously removed the upper frame moulding that allowed some space for us to remove the cat. With a joint effort with neighbours we were able to remove the cat alive.

Then, Bella’s owner arrived home and got quite a shock when they found this:
