A white nationalist who attended the far-right rally in Charlottesville last weekend has released a tearful video saying he’s scared the police are going to kill him.
Christopher Cantwell appeared in Vice News’ documentary on the march, saying:
I’m carrying a pistol, I go to the gym all the time - I’m trying to make myself more capable of violence.
But in a video originally posted to Facebook, Cantwell is insisting he is innocent, and would only use violence in self defence.
He said he’s been told there’s a warrant out for his arrest, saying “I don’t know what to do.”
He went on to say:
I emailed Steve Tenney of the Keene Police Department, I emailed him and I said ‘I don’t know what to do and I need guidance.’
This is what a white supremacist looks like when he cries. #ChristopherCantwell https://t.co/QHbPbuP9JG— Outspeak (@Outspeak) 1502916191
He encouraged people to get in touch and tell him what to do, adding:
If I can confirm you are in fact law enforcement I will give you my location and I will let you come and get me.
I’m armed, I do not want violence with you. I’m terrified I’m afraid you’re going to kill me.

Unsurprisingly, people are rather unsympathetic.
Some one should get that dude evaluated.. #christophercantwell #hislastnametho 😂😂— all_I_know_is_brrrr (@all_I_know_is_brrrr) 1502868913
Some people gave him some of the guidance he asked for:
