Cleaner accidentally spends two-and-a-half hours cleaning wrong home

A south New Jersey man who cleans homes has told how he unknowingly started work on the wrong property – and left it clean as a whistle.

Louis Angelino III works a regular 9-to-5 job at a liquor store. But recently, he has been cleaning homes for his peers to put a few more dollars in his wallet.

Taking to his TikTok, Angelino, who goes by @stayscrewy on the platform, detailed the hilarious moment of the mixup.

Angelino was set to clean a home for a friend named Mark and arrived at the location to find the key under the doormat, as explained prior.

He spent approximately two and a half hours cleaning the home and was even playing with the cat. He then received a call from Mark, who asked if he had gotten a chance to clean the home.

“He calls me, and he’s like, ‘yo, where are you,’ and I was like ‘I’m in your living room waiting for you to walk in, I’m playing with your cat,’” Angelino said in the video.

But Angelio realised his mistake when Mark told him that he doesn’t even have a cat.

Per NJ.com, Angelino noted that his “heart dropped” as he thought: “Where am I right now? What is going on?”

He then realized he had written down the address incorrectly. It was off by one digit...

Afterwards, Mark went home and left a note for the neighbors to inform them of the situation.

Beth Motzel, the owner of the home Angelino accidentally cleaned, told WCBS-TV that her husband Tom went home first and discovered the spotless area.

“He said, ‘You won’t believe it. Someone broke in our house and cleaned the entire thing,’” Motzel told the outlet.

Motzel said she and her husband “laugh forever about it” and that Angelino truly is the “cleaning fairy.”

Angelino also spoke to the outlet about cleaning and how that has become a form of therapy for him.

“It’s just like very satisfying...If you’re in a clean environment, your mind is clean,” he said.

Angelino also text Motzel to apologise for the “clean” error. Now, Motzel said she would keep his number on hand for future cleaning services.

Speaking to indy100, Angelino said that he plans to turn his side gig into a “real business” as he is currently crowdfunding to develop t-shirts with the slogan “cleaning fairy” to promote his work. He is also appreciative of those who have donated to his “cause and dream.”

“I feel so blessed and loved!” he said.
