Indy boss wears fake eyebrows meeting Prince Charles, no one notices

Last week the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited the offices of the Evening Standard, shared with The Independent and our big brother i.

Some media watchers noted that the owner of the titles, Evgeny Lebedev, was without his trademark beard.

What they didn't appreciate was that he was also without his, um, trademark eyebrows. Because they'd been shaved off by Elton John. Really.

The whole thing is totally above board, however, and all in aid of this year's Comic Relief appeal - make your face funny for money.

Mission… accomplished?
