Email scammers are used to preying on vulnerable internet users, which is why it's so satisfying to see them get a taste of their own medicine.
Messing with scammers' minds is nothing new, but journalist Josh Billinson has cooked up a particularly ingenious response.
When an scammer kept asking Billinson for a copy of his passport, he mocked one up of Matt Damon as the fictional assassin Jason Bourne.
Presumably the scammer is not a fan of Matt Damon.
Thankfully, the pair are now back working together.
But not before Billinson tasked his scammer some Batman related riddles, as is traditional in business dealings.
Remarkably, his tests were dutifully answered.
Twitter was predictably amused by the tale.
