You might think letting your food go cold while you find the perfect angle is sacrifice enough. But Viki Odintcova decided to go the extra mile for a good Instagram photo.
The 23-year-old Russian model went to the top of a 1,004-foot-high skyscraper in Dubai and dangled over the edge – with just one hand keeping her from falling.
Here's the end result (if you're scared of heights, maybe look away):
And here's an action shot:
But the developer of the building in question isn’t happy. Cayan Group said the stunt was done without their knowledge.
According to USA Today, the company is looking to take action against Odintcova.
The director of marketing and communications said:
Under no circumstances can we condone Ms. Odintcova’s irresponsible actions, and we are in the process of reviewing our security procedures to understand and rectify where the lapse occurred and how to prevent such in the future
But Odintcova has said she should be compensated for exposing a flaw in the building’s security, according to The National.
She wrote in an email:
We deserve a reward for disclosing weaknesses in the security of that building.
We were at the rooftop of that building without any evil intentions, however someone else could have come out there to commit suicide or an act of terrorism.
