Some genius invented the Jeremy Corbyn sandwich

When you think of a good sandwich, what do you picture?

Cheese? Tomato? Maybe ham or egg? Oooh and dressing, loads of dressing.

Maybe you're a fan of a BLT or you prefer a Vegan avocado and hummus?

What about a sandwich inspired by the Labour party leader?

You might now.

A café in Yorkshire is now serving a Jeremy Corbyn sandwich, with brie, sun blush tomatoes, rocket, love, compassion, equality and aioli.

Just like Jeremy, the sandwich is vegeterian.

The Pig & Pastry, a family run, neighbourhood café in York sells the item under its "lunch sandwiches" section for £5.95.

Spotted by Twitter use @ustuntman, lots of people have said they want a bite of the Corbyn.

Others have speculated what might be in a Theresa May sandwich.

Some are a little unsure of the taste of "love, equality and compassion" and would rather have some chips.

We're not sure if the love, equality and compassion tastes like sticky toffee pudding, but we can imagine it's quite nice.

The café was named in the Guardian's top 50 breakfasts in the UK, in the Times' top 25 places to brunch in the UK, and Buzzfeed named their bacon butty as one of "17 sandwiches you must eat before you die".

The café's social media is full of messages of support for Jeremy Corbyn, they even sometimes have Corbyn branded bread.

They're not the only café to have a Jeremy-themed menu item. Gadz, a Lebanese cafe in Jeremy's local Finsbury Park serves a 'Corbyn falalfel'.

As the New Statesman's Helen Lewis puts it, the equality and ailoli party sounds great.
