This job advert will make you want to hand in your resignation immediately

A British confectionery manufacturer is looking for an official sweet taster to test its new inventions before they hit the shelves. But perhaps more importantly, it says no prior experience is necessary.

Swizzels, which makes Love Hearts, Drumsticks and Parma Violets, says the successful applicant will be given training and a year's supply of sweets to help in their task.

Whoever takes up the "important role" will also be given a tour of the factory in Derbyshire and learn how all the confectionery is made.

We know that adults love our products just as much as children so we’re looking for our biggest fan to join us at our factory and help us develop new additions to our range.

It takes months to develop new flavours and the successful applicant will be shown the whole process, learning the secrets of how we make our fabulous sweets.

Applicants need to submit either a 500 word essay or a one minute video here explaining why they would be suited to the role before the application process closes on 30 April.

Sadly there is no mention of a salary and the role seems to only last for a day. Better leave that resignation letter you've been preparing saved in drafts for now.
