This stunning snow art was created by one man and his compass

Simon Beck is the world's first snow artist.

His pieces requires an enormous physical effort: they cover an area between two and nine acres and can take up to 12 hours to complete. Beck walks between 20-30 kilometres in snowshoes, using a compass to help to create the complex geometric patterns.
