TikTok hack shows how to reheat pizza without the base going soggy ever again

Gone are the days when you reheat leftover pizza in the microwave.

A woman has taken to TikTok with a game-changing hack that delivers a good-as-fresh result – and there are no soggy bottoms in sight.

New Jersey home cook Tara (@aldentediva) shared the tip with her 1.2 million followers, who she told to not “knock it till you try it.”

Instead of opting for the conventional microwave method, the home cook places the pizza slice on a hot frying pan, adds a splash of water and puts the lid on top. The pizza is steamed in just a few minutes, resulting in a delicious crunchy base topped with hot melting cheese.

Unsurprisingly, her clip racked a staggering 2.5 million views, accompanied by hundreds of astonished TikTok users in the comments to praise Tara’s method.

“Confession: I would rather eat it this way than fresh”, one fellow TikToker commented.

“I’m constantly amazed by how many things TikTok has taught me”, one user added, “I’ve been doing my whole life wrong.”

While another joked: “Microwave: ‘Do you think I’m a joke?!’”

The home cook took to the comments herself to answer some curious questions.

One user asked: “Does it not get soggy?” to which Tara responded, “nope.”

Another inquisitive TikToker asked: “What’s the difference between cooking it this way and in the oven?”

“Steams the cheese, doesn’t crisp it”, Tara responded.

Apparently, reheating pizza in the air fryer works a treat too!
