The chances of most people in the world seeing at least one of the three Toy Story movies by now is pretty strong.

Even if you have managed to skip any of these animated masterpieces (seriously, what have you been doing?), you will probably recognise Buzz Lightyear's iconic catchphrase;

To infinity and beyond .

It probably won't shock you to learn that US President Donald Trump has possibly no idea about Toy Story or the famous quote.

When legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin recently recited the quote to President Trump, this was his response.

As you can guess the people of Twitter were not amused.

The unusual exchange occurred towards the end of an executive order signing at the White House on Friday where the President reinstated the long dormant National Space Council.

Vice President Mike Pence was placed in charge of the council, which was initially dissolved in 1993, and will now review spending for the United States space policy, with members of NASA also sitting on the committee.

This will include civil, commercial and military space projects but it remains to be seen how it will deal with private companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin who are trying to reduce the costs of space travel.

You can watch a full video of the signing below which includes the Toy Story quote.

Hopefully this is the last time anyone quotes Toy Story to the President.

We'd hate to see how he would react to 'There's a snake in my boot.'
