Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez effortlessly took down Mark Zuckerberg and everyone's obsessed

Ever the absolute queen of congressional hearings, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came for Mark Zuckerberg with absolute fire.

Earlier this week, she tweeted to ask for her followers' suggestions on what to ask. She even opened her DMs, despite the consequences we can all but imagine.

She started off by asking about Cambridge Analytica, and went on to quiz him on whether it would be possible to pay for targetted campaign ads to spread misinformation.

Could I pay to target predominantly black zip codes and advertise them an incorrect election date?

He answered that it would not be possible, despite previously stating that political ads would be exempt from the fact-checking that other paid posts would be subject to.

Ocasio-Cortez was rightly confused by where the threshold for allowing lies actually was, and continued:

Could I run ads targetting Republicans in primaries saying they voted for the Green New Deal?

At this point it got pretty shady as Zuckerberg basically refused to give a straight answer and AOC shined bright like a hundred diamonds.

So you will take down lies or you won't take down lies? I think it's a pretty simple question. I'm not talking about spin, I'm talking about actual misinformation.

He continued to dodge the question and it became clear that she was going to get nowhere, so she moved on to asking about the far-right publications with ties to white supremacy which Facebook essentially allows to run wild.

The whole exchange was a masterclass in how to make five minutes count and go fully in on someone while retaining so much chill. The internet could not get enough.
