Donald Trump is taking his beautiful border wall to Colorado, for some reason.
The US president declared that he intends to build a wall in Colorado whilst speaking about border wall progress on Wednesday in Pittsburgh at the Shale Insight Conference.
Trump said: “And we’re building a wall on the border of New Mexico and we’re building a wall in Colorado, we’re building a beautiful wall, a big one that really works that you can’t get over, you can’t get under and we’re building a wall in Texas."
We’re not building a wall in Kansas but they get the benefit of the walls we just mentioned.
For reference, here is a map of the US, and this is where we have Colorado and Mexico:
As you can see, they do not share a border.
Make it make sense
Upon hearing that the US president intends to build a wall in America proper, many in the crowd began to cheer.
CNN’s Daniel Dale attempted to clarify what he meant: “Trump was listing actual-border states in which he said he is building the wall (he has not added any miles where barriers didn’t exist before).”
However Colorado isn’t a border state. We’re not sure what’s going on, and neither are people online
There were geographical considerations...
Others wondered why some members of the audience cheered

Eventually Trump took to Twitter in an awkward attempt to pretend it was a joke and not a mistake to clarify that he was 'kidding'
People didn't buy it.
Riiight.
