Donald Trump is tweeting again and the world better pay attention.

The subject of today's rant into the perpetual echo chamber involves... You guessed it, how The Donald managed to win the US presidential election.

The president-elect said today:

Hillary and the Dems were never going to beat the PASSION of my voters. They saw what was happening in the last two weeks before the......

And knew they were in big trouble - which is why they cancelled their big fireworks at the last minute.THEY SAW A MOVEMENT LIKE NEVER BEFORE

Disjointed, confusing and slightly surreal - yep this is is a Donald Trump tweet thread.

But wait, aren't we forgetting something here? Around 2.86 million somethings to be more accurate.

The final tally in the US presidential election revealed that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by more than 2.86 million ballots.

According to the Cook Political Report, the Democrat beat the President-elect by 2,864,974 - more than five times the margin garnered by Al Gore in 2000 when he also lost the Electoral College.

That's pretty passionate. Sorry... PASSIONATE.

Trump's win ranks only 46th out of 58 on the list of Electoral College votes secured by US Presidents since George Washington in 1789.

His popular vote tally was in fact more than two percentage points lower than Hillary's, at 46.1 per cent against her 48.2 per cent  – or 62.98 million against 65.84 million.

Only 12 other elections have seen a president receive a lower proportion of Electoral College votes, including George W Bush in 2000 and 2004, and John F Kennedy in 1960.

While in comparison, Hillary Clinton's tally of votes was only 72,000 shy of Barack Obama's win in 2012.

But as Trump said, it was clearly the passion... Sorry, PASSION of his voters that secured his victory.

It certainly wasn't a slightly outdated skewed electoral college voting system, a platform of division and fear, or a bunch of empty sound bite friendly promises.

The Donald finished his rant with what appears to be another plea for people to show up on January 20th for his inauguration -  we're sure someone will turn up Donald, it'll be great... Sorry, GREAT!
