Father of four becomes viral hit thanks to brutally honest Instagram account

Even if you don't have kids, you will have noticed that being a parent can take its toll.

For starters, parents are judged on what they feed their offspring, then they have to spend "quality time" with the kids which might not be as beneficial as originally thought.

Some parents seem to have found a way to make their lives easier for themselves but others are more than prepared to show how stressful a life with kids can be.

One person who definitely falls into the later of those two categories is British dad Simon Hooper who has not one, not two, not three, but four daughters.

He and his wife Clemmie, have two tenth-month-old twins, a six-year-old, and a nine-year-old. Suffice to say, it is demanding.

Simon has become something of a celebrity on Instagram thanks to his brutally honest account @father_of_daughters, which documents the everyday reality of life with four kids.

Simon's witter and descriptive captions complete with his expertly composed photos have helped him become a viral sensation.

At the time of writing, he has over 700,000 followers with his posts regularly raking up thousands of likes.

Simon who is an operations director of a consultancy firm is frank in his assessment of his life and hopes that his account can succeed in spreading some joy.

However, he wants to emphasise that being a parent has a lot of ups and downs and that nothing should be sugar coated.

He told Huffington Post:

In general, my whole account is to show a realistic view of what parenting is like from a parent’s perspective.

There is way too much sugarcoating when it comes to parents, so I wanted to share what it’s really like and provide a bit of humour at the same time.

Simon isn't the only member of his family who is documenting their lives online.

Clemmie also has an Instagram account, which is appropriately named @mother_of_daughters.

Whether you want to look at their photos for a bit of a laugh or feel some solidarity for fellow struggling parents, Simon just hopes it can help.

He added:

Everyone is dealing with the same issues in this journey called parenting.
