It's impossible to block Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook

Be honest. How much time do you spend on Facebook a day?

One hour, two hours, three? If so, you are probably more than familiar with the things you shouldn't have on there, and all the other functions on the site, including the always essential block button.

It stops bullies and trolls in their tracks and generally makes your experience on the platform more enjoyable.

It's a savage way to pull the plug, but if the person is posting endless videos of their cat then it's got to be done.

However, it would appear that Facebook's overlord supreme, Mark Zuckerberg is completely immune to the option:

The Guardian first report that people discovered Zuckerberg's invincibility in January.

When you visit Zuckerberg's page the button is there but once you click a message flashes up saying the following:

Now it appears that The Zuck has passed his bullet proof resistance on to his wife Priscilla Chan.

If you do still really want to get one over on the entrepreneur and his family you can still block his dog Beast, but what sort of monster would do that?

Of course this is only a problem for people who have chosen to follow Zuckerberg, but due to his posts receiving an extra bit of kick from the Facebook algorithm he can really end up taking over your timeline.

The logical explanation behind this is that people have simply tried to block the 33-year-old too many times.

Back in July a spokesperson said:

This error isn’t specific to any one account.

It’s generated when a person has been blocked a certain large number of times.

In very rare instances, a viral campaign will develop instructing lots of people to all wrongly block the same person.
