1. Deactivate Trump's Twitter account

A former Twitter customer support worker deactivated the US President’s account on his last day of work for 11 minutes. Twitter released a brief statment

"We have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer-support employee who did this on the employee's last day. We are conducting a full internal review," Twitter said in a tweet.

2. Live on air

This is KTVA-TV reporter Charlo Greene quitting her job in a spectacular, sweary manner. She announced live on air "f**k it, I quit", explaining she now plans to focus on the fight to legalise marijuana in Alaska.**

3.Using interpretative dance

Marina Shifrin got 18 million views on YouTube with this interpretive dance set to Kanye West's Gone.

4. On a plane

Flight attendant Steven Slater was arrested after swearing at a passenger over the tannoy before deploying the plane's emergency exit slide to leave in 2010. New York Daily News reports he said: "I've had it. That's it" as he left the aircraft. He was given one year of probation and a $10,000 fine in November 2011.

Chris Holmes, also known as Mr Cake, baked his resignation letter for his bosses at Stansted Airport in 2013.

7. With a message to Putin​

Liz Wahl quit her presenting job on Russia Today live on air earlier this year, saying she could no longer be "part of a network funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin... And that is why, after this newscast, I am resigning".

8. On the state of Montana's Facebook

In 2012 a social media manager at an advertising agency accidentally posted this message on the state of Montana's tourist oriented Facebook page - instead of as a personal message, AdWeek reports. Spectacular. A spokesperson for Montana's tourism office said: "Obviously, it wasn't content intended for our Facebook audience."
