Emma Thompson’s wild dancing at An Audience With Adele has made everyone’s year – 9 top reactions

Sunday night saw ITV viewers treated to An Audience With Adele as the British singer gave a rare performance to a star-studded crowd at the London Palladium.

The 33-year-old star has just released her fourth studio album 30, and the likes of Idris Elba, Alan Carr, Samuel L Jackson, Stormzy and Emma Watson were in attendance to see the star perform her new songs and some of her modern classics.

However, it was Love Actually actor Emma Thompson who almost overshadowed everyone – including Adele – with her eye-catching dance moves throughout the show such as gyrating between her husband Greg Wise and comedian Michael McIntyre.

At one point it appeared that the 62-year-old star managed to get the entire crowd on their feet during a rendition of Rolling in the Deep which really captured the internet’s imagination.

Dame Thompson’s inclusion in the show actually went beyond her incredible dance moves.

The star was also involved in a touching moment where Adele was reunited with her English teacher from Chestnut Grove secondary school in Balham, Ms McDonald.

“When you were younger, was there someone who supported you or inspired you or protected you from all the trials and tribulations of life and inspired you to go on?” Thompson asked the singer, before McDonald and Adele had an emotional reunion.

Any chance we just get An Audience With Emma Thompson in the near future? The country demands it.
