Jeff Bezos responds to viral clip of girlfriend meeting Leonardo DiCaprio

Jeff Bezos has responded to the viral clip of of him and girlfriend Lauren Sanchez meeting Leonardo DiCaprio at an event.

A brief six-second clip of the three chatting to each other went viral on Twitter, after the trio ran into each other at the 10th Annual Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Art and Film Gala Presented By Gucci. The internet has since mass-commented on how mesmerised Sanchez looks in the actor’s presence.

Bezos quote-retweeted the video with a message for DiCaprio, tagging him directly.

The tweet reads, “Leo, come over here, I want to show you something…@LeoDiCaprio” and shows a photo of Bezos in the outdoors posing with a sign that says, “Danger! Steep Cliff! Fatal Drop!”

In the video, DiCaprio can be seen talking animatedly to the couple while Sánchez appear to beam up at the Academy Award winner with a wide grin while Bezos doesn’t appear as impressed and his other half.

Perhaps Sanchez is just a big fan of the actors work... but of course people on Twitter trolling Bezos over the footage, joking that they want to find someone “who looks at you the way Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend looks at Leonardo DiCaprio.”

While others joked that the clip reminded them of the literary classic The Great Gatsby - especially because DiCaprio played Jay Gatsby in the 2013 film version who is a love triangle with Daisy and Tom Buchanan.

Meanwhile, some people were defending Sánchez and said they don’t blame her for being dazzled by the A-lister and would react in the same way if they were in her position.

There has also been a comparison to the infamous photo that went viral of Melania Trump greeting the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the 2019 G7 summit when the internet also joked that she was “ready to risk it all.”

Elsewhere others turned their attention to what DiCaprio was discussing with them.

Though considering he’s the second richest man in the world with a net worth of $177 billion, he’s probably not too bothered with what the internet has to say.

The couple appear to be doing fine as Sánchez posted photos with Bezos from the event with the caption: “Beautiful evening last night at the @LACMA Art + Film Gala hosted by the amazing @1evachow and @leonardodicaprio.”

“An amazing event that will benefit important museum initiatives, exhibitions, and programming for years to come,” she added.

So there you go, it doesn’t look like Bezos needs to ban DiCaprio movies from Amazon Prime...
